Autism
Autism Spectrum Disorders have become the silent epidemic in our children in this age. In the mid-1960s, the autism rate in the United States was 1 in 10,000. In 2008, 1 in 150 children were diagnosed in the United States. By 2012, it had risen to 1 in 88, then 1 in 68 as of 2016. On December 3 of 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released its latest prevalence estimates for autism, finding 1 in 44 or 2.27% of American 8-year-olds have an autism spectrum disorder. As of 2021, in New Jersey specifically it was 1 in 14 children.
This epidemic disproportionately affects our young boys, with current projections estimating 100% of boys born in 2032 with be diagnosed with Autism unless we change the course we are on.

In our approach, Autism is primarily caused by a combination of environmental toxicities, pathogens, electromagnetic radiation and coinciding with impaired biodetoxifcation. These primary issues are often what underly the common sequelae seen in Autism; brain inflammation/ hypoperfusion, mitochondrial dysfunction, intestinal dysbiosis, allergies, and neurodivergent behaviors.

Once we have attended to the underlying causes and improved the detoxification pathways we work to improve brain health via several mechanisms including;
-
improving the biological terrain
-
improving fluid dynamics and lymphatic drainage
-
improving the energetic field in which the brain develops
-
modifying the sensory input to the developing brain
